THE GRAY AND GREEN JUNLGE
Hong Kong, 2018
Hong Kong was my first encounter with a territory far from Europe, and it is with an almost candid eye that these images were captured. The buildings seem to have accumulated over time, and it is within this architectural timeline that life thrives, at every hour of the day and night. It is sometimes difficult to imagine the human presence behind these stacked facades, bearing the traces of decades of humidity and wear, where only the air conditioning seems to circulate. And yet, even within this urban jungle, nature constantly reminds us of its omnipresence, whether through its rainfall of rare intensity or the vegetation surrounding the city.
